Mad Dog
The band Mad Dog was founded in 1987 by a part of members of disintegrated bands Geto and Dirty Noises. In 90's, the band members Marko Pentek (vocals), Ivan Bekčić (guitar), Marko Bertoncelj (drums), Miha Hawlina (saxophone) and Ana Korenini (bass) have recorded for Helidon their first and only album. Some tracks from this album still get air time on radio stations, since the album produced quite a few hits, for example Če pridem v nebesa kdaj, Dolga cesta, Greva dol... These three tracks ranked 1st, 3rd and 5th place respectively on the most popular music charts at the time Stop Pops 20.
The band has held concerts throughout Slovenia for many years. They have played their own songs as well as cover versions of Rock and R'n'B songs from the 60’s and the 70’s. In fact, they were one of the best Rock cover bands in Slovenia at the time.
Mad Dog occasionally still perform in various band formations.
